Facial Skin Care Products – Must Haves and Not Needed

best facial skin care products

Your face is the first thing people notice when they look at you. It can also tell a story about your lifestyle (daily diet, exercise, stress, sleep and your skincare routine). You can help your face look younger, longer, by living a balanced day-to-day life.

Consuming more of nutritious and balanced foods, allowing your body to move and strengthening its muscles, getting enough sleep and managing stress…all of those little pieces of the puzzle contribute to the overall health and beauty of your skin.

Now, how about skin care products? Absolutely, if you use high quality skincare products and follow (at least) a basic skin care routine, you will prevent your skin from rapid aging and help it to maintain its healthy state. You just need to know what products to use and when to use them. In this article, we’ll share with you a few skin care products that are absolute must-haves and a group of them, that are available for you to play with, but are not necessary.

Stick With Natural Facial Skin Care

Let’s cover the must-haves first. It is essential for all of us to cleanse, nourish and protect our skin on daily basis. Especially, if your skin has some challenges to begin with, like acne, consistent breakouts or if you are undergoing some treatments.

The three skincare products that you should always have in your bathroom and use daily are:
1. Face cleanser
2. Moisturizer
3. Sunscreen

Face Cleanser

The reason you must cleanse your face daily is because you want to wash off all impurities and excess oils, both of which tend to clog pores and cause breakouts. When washing your face always choose to go with a natural face cleanser. Obviously, never use regular soap. It is way too harsh and it will only dry out, and irritate your face. We recommend using a natural face cleanser made by Natural Vibrancy (once it is available online). We’ve compared and tested many other products and nothing comes close. We invite you to test it and see it for yourself.

Moisturizer

After you cleanse your face, you should follow up with a natural moisturizer. Keep in mind, that your skin needs help to maintain its natural moisture content during the day. Moisturizing also gives you an opportunity to nourish your skin with antioxidants, minerals, peptides and other ingredients. In other words, you are helping your skin to stay healthy and vibrant.

Sunscreen

Protect your skin from the sun! Ultraviolet radiation harms our skin, not only on the surface, but also by affecting and disturbing the skin’s underlying structure. As you may already know, sun damage causes wrinkles, sagging skin, brown spots and destroys skin tissue. We recommend using a broad-spectrum UVA - UVB sunblock.

Now, you are well aware of the three most important skin care products for your basic daily routine.

Facial Skin Care Products You Don’t Need

The following products are really not as necessary, as the ones we just covered above. However, if this gives you pure pleasure and you have the time for it - why not?! Treat yourself. Otherwise, you can skip the following skin care products…

Face Mask

Can a mask do something really transformative or long-lasting to your skin? Many of us believe, that a mask will moisturize our face and seal the hydration in. It is true, but only to some degree. It will moisturize and hydrate, but only until it’s rinsed off. Masks are like lip balm for your face… an occlusive film over the surface that creates this short-term fix.

Now, if you have sensitive or rosacea skin, a mask that contains anti-inflammatory ingredients and humectants will feel great, but again - only until it’s on your face. The soothing effect will disappear as soon as you wash it off. Also, if your skin is on the sensitive side, always read the label, because menthol or fruit acids (which are commonly found in masks) could cause irritation.

Clay Mask

The reason we apply clay masks is because we believe that they will soak up oils and open up or purify our pores. A clay mask can reduce the oil you have on your skin, but it will build up again in no time. Also, it will not purify your pores the way you might think. In fact, pore strips work the same way - simply lifts dirt off of the skin’s surface. A mask with a mineral-rich clay, sea mud or other active ingredients can provide a gentle way of exfoliating, but a treatment like this will not be more effective than a salicylic acid exfoliant and thorough evening cleansing.

Toners

Toner is intended to remove residual makeup and oil from the skin. But since most cleansers these days do that just fine, toner is an unnecessary added step in your daily process. Especially, if you are already overwhelmed with your daily skin care routine (LOL).

As you may have noticed, it does not take much to keep your face healthy and vibrant. Just follow a ‘must-have’ routine and use a good quality natural skin care products. You are better off using a fewer, but quality products! Visit http://naturalvibrancy.com for more info on natural products.
